About Cents + Order

The American dream. Happily married. 2.5 kids. A house in the suburbs. White picket fence.

But how often is this dream a reality? We all come from different backgrounds and circumstances.

Maybe you’re here because your struggling to make ends meet.

Maybe you’re here because you make decent money but can never seem to get ahead.

Maybe you’re looking for inspiration to live a better life.

You’ve come to the right place!!

My mission is to empower you to live your dreams by making smart money choices.

My Inspiration

Far too many people struggle with their finances. They work hard, but never seem to get ahead. I’ve watched family and friends struggle to make ends meet. They need help to get on track with their finances, but a financial planner wouldn’t give them the time of day.

Do you…

-Have more debt than you’d like?
-Struggle to pay your bills on time?
-Have little to no emergency fund?
-Have poor credit?

Then I want to help you.

You’re not alone. Growing up, this was my family. I remember tracking the cost of every grocery item so we didn’t exceed my mom’s cash. Sometimes we would get food from the food bank. Other times we would help family with cleaning or odd jobs for cash. The constant struggle is a tough life to live. When you aren’t sure how to pay the bills, you probably gave up on your dreams a long time ago.

Thrive.

Calm the chaos and make the most of life.

Prosper.

Dream.

Live the life you never thought possible.

About Me

Hi! I’m Kristina and I love numbers and math!

Yes, this means I get excited about budgeting and analyzing my finances. I’m an accountant and have worked in the financial services industry for over 15 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in finance.

I’m currently a single mom to three wonderful kids: a 13 year old daughter, a 4 year old daughter, and a 2 year old son. I currently live in Pennsylvania.

I started this blog back in 2014 as a way to encourage readers to live their dreams my making smart money choices. Back then, living frugally was a choice for me. I would shop the clearance racks but then use the money saved for things like family vacations to Disney World.

At the time, we were a two-income family, had a house in a great neighborhood, and everything in life seemed to be going well.

In the second half of 2015, my life was turned upside down.

My company was being bought out and I would lose my job within the next year. My husband left me. Suddenly, I was a single working mom to three kids. With a mortgage payment over my grade and a job loss on the horizon.

Being frugal was now a necessity, not just a choice. I want to share my knowledge so you can have the life you want, regardless of your circumstances.
